CELEBRATING WHY SOCIALISM? WITH GABRIEL OROZCO, KURIMANZUTTO & CASA DRAGONES

On September 11, 2025, the opening of Why Socialism?, a group exhibition curated by Gabriel Orozco, brought together a range of contemporary voices to reflect on Albert Einstein’s 1949 essay. The show invited audiences to consider questions of society, politics, and culture through the lens of contemporary art, situating Einstein’s ideas within today’s global context. Orozco’s curatorial approach fostered dialogue across disciplines, highlighting how art can serve as both a mirror and a catalyst for collective reflection.

As a longtime friend of Gabriel Orozco, Casa Dragones was proud to be part of the celebration that followed at Bar Oliver, one of New York’s newest culinary destinations from the team behind Casino. During this celebration, guests of Orozco sipped on Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila on the rocks with a grapefruit twist, and the classic Casa Dragones Blanco Margarita, while sharing tapas and pintxos.

Blending culture, craftsmanship, and community, the evening offered a toast to Orozco’s curatorial vision, the beginning of the fall art season, and the artistry behind every sip of Casa Dragones.
