CASA DRAGONES CELEBRATES CREATIVITY AND THE LEGACY OF STORYTELLING WITH MONTBLANC AND THE EDITORIAL

Casa Dragones joined Montblanc and The Editorial for an evening dedicated to celebrating the creative and literary legacy of Guillermo Arriaga, as well as the work of Mariana and Santiago Arriaga, prominent voices of a new generation of Mexican storytellers.

Bringing together guests from the worlds of culture, art, and literature, the gathering explored the power of storytelling, creativity, and the transmission of knowledge across generations. The conversation highlighted the profound connection between writing and artistic expression—values that have shaped Guillermo Arriaga’s body of work and continue to inspire the cinematic and literary paths of Mariana and Santiago Arriaga.

As part of the experience, Casa Dragones presented an exclusive pairing menu designed to complement the evening’s culinary offering. The experience began with a tortilla, foie gras, and chocolate course, paired with Casa Dragones Joven, whose master blend of 100% Blue Agave silver and extra-aged tequila brought depth and complexity to the first course.

For the main course, guests enjoyed short rib with mole negro and mashed potatoes, paired with Casa Dragones Mizunara Reposado. Rested in Mizunara oak casks, this refined expression offered a distinctive balance of rich flavors and subtle wood notes that complemented the dish beautifully.

The evening concluded with a warm chocolate tamal paired with Casa Dragones Añejo Barrel Blend, a tequila carefully matured in a selection of different wood casks, enhancing the dessert’s sweet and spiced flavors.
